Welcome to SuperGen UKCMER

The United Kingdom Centre for Marine Renewable Energy (UKCMER) was a virtual centre, funded under RCUK's Energy Programme's SUPERGEN initiative. UKCMER coordinated research in renewable electricity generation using the power of the waves, tidal currents and floating wind turbines, over four phases between 2003 and 2019.

The UKCMER research activity is being continued through the Supergen Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Hub (https://www.supergen-ore.net/). Many of the UKCMER researchers now collaborate in this programme.

On this website you will find all information regarding the centre and the outcomes of our research.

You can browse through the website, which detail the work completed in the different phases of the project, from the links given below:

  • Publications - Lists of publications from the four phases of SuperGen UK Centre for Marine Energy Research are available here
  • Annual Assemblies - All presentations and posters presented at the UKCMER Annual Assemblies can be accessed from this link.
  • Progress reports - Progress reports of the consortium over the last three years of the project can be downloaded here.
  • SG Monographs - They detail the outcomes of the first three phases of the programme and lists the complete publications of the consortium which resulted from our research.

We hope that you will find these useful.
